N'Golo kanté is a French international player who playes as a center midfielder for premier league club Chelsea and France. The France international was born on the (29th of march, 1991). Well has isn't just a midfielder buy has been considered my many as one of the world's best midfielders, kanté is well praised for his performance and humility on and off the pitch.

Kanté made his senior professional debut with Boulogne in 2012, appearing and was coming into the pitch as a substitute in one  Ligue 2 matches, and played an entire season in the third division the following year. After that he joined Ligue 2 side Caen on a free transfer, finished third and won promotion to Ligue 1. He stayed with the club for one additional year.

In 2015, Kanté joined Leicester City for a fee worth £5.6 million and played an important role to their maiden Premier League victory. The following year, he joined Chelsea for a fee worth £32 million and again won the league, making him the first outfield player to win consecutive English league titles with different clubs.

Kanté made his senior international debut for France in 2016 and was included in the squad that finished runners-up at the 2016 European Championship. In 2017, Kanté was named the French Player of the Year, a first for a player from the Premier League in seven years, and twelve months later was a key member of the 2018 FIFA World Cup winning squad.

                      CLUB CAREER
Kanté was born in Paris to his Malian parents. His career started at the age of 8 at suresnes where he played and remained there for over a decade. Kanté remained outside the radar of big teams because of his small startue and selfless style of play. In 2010, Arsenal manager Arsène wenger made an offer to sign kanté. Suresnes president who was one of  Arsène wenger best friend drove him all around to visit different clubs. He later joined the reserve team of Boulogne where he made his professional debut in the last game of ligue 2 season on 18 may 2012. During his 2012 - 2013 season, he played in the 3rd tier championnat National, missing just a league game. 
On 10 August, he scored his first senior goal, the only one in a win over Luzenac at the Stade de la Libération and he added two more over the campaign.

He joined ligue 2 side Caen in 2013 and all games in the first season as they emerged 3rd on the league table earning them their ligue 1 promotion. He scored his first goal to equalise in a 2 - 1 win at Laval. The following  season, Kanté played 37 games as Caen remained in the top flight; his one absence was suspension through being sent off in a 0–1 home loss to Rennes on 30 August. Three weeks earlier, he scored their first goal of the season in a 3–0 win at Evian. He recovered the ball more times over the season than any other player in Europe.

Steve Walsh made the transfer of kanté and other players like Jamie vardy and Riyad  Mahrez possible to the team. On the 3rd of August, 2015 kanté joined the team for a 4 year contract of an undisclosed fee which was later reported to be €8 million (£5.6 million)  he made his debut 8 minutes to the stoppage time and he replaced Jamie vardy in a 4 - 2 home win against Sunderland. He scored his first ever premier league goal in a 2 - 1 home win against Watford. He earned the praise of many and was one of the important factor of the team's excellence. Kanté was consistently making a high number of tackle and interceptions. In April, he was one of the four Leicester players named in the PFA Team of the year. by the end of the season he had managed to complete 175 tackles (31 more than any other player).

The Blues reportedly paid £32 million in transfer fee for kanté, he joined the team on the 16th of January, 2016. Arsenal allegedly backed out of the deal due to agent fee involved which totaled more than £10 million and instead opted to sign Granit Xhaka. Due to the dispute arising from sharing of agent fee, kanté was subjected to death threat, a claim which he later denied. He later took the number 7 after the departure of Ramires from the club. Chelsea offered to transfer a part of the salary into an offshore account to avoid taxes. Kanté refused with his lawyer stating in an email: "N'golo is flexible, he simply wants a normal salary. Three months after he moved to London, he faced his former side and for the first time he was the man of the match after a 3 - 0 win. He scored his first goal for the blues when they faced their rival Manchester United in 4 - 0 home win.
On the 26th of December, 2016 kanté was named as the world sixth best footballer. 
On the 20th of April, 2017 he was named in the PFA Team of the year for the second conservative time and was later named PFA Player of the year. He was nominated for the Ballon d'or in October 2017. BBC sport awarded him a man of the match award. He later signed a five year contract at Chelsea on 23 November 2018, making him the highest paid player in Chelsea.
Despite not being well physically fit, kanté started the 2018 - 2019 Europa league final and dominated Arsenal's midfield as Chelsea had a 4 - 1 victory.
Kanté has marked his 200th appearance in all competition with the club on 23 February 2021 as the blues beat Atletico Madrid in a 1 - 0 victory in a champions league round of 16. He won his first ever UEFA champions league after Chelsea defeated Manchester city 1- 0 in the champions league finals. Arsène winger describes his performance as ''Unbelieveable''.

Kanté later tested positive for covid-19 in September 2021 and was required to isolate for 10 days. On the 8th of October 2021, kanté was one of the five Chelsea players included in the final 30-man shortlist for the 2021 Ballon d'or.

                  PERSONAL LIFE
Kanté is a devoted practising Muslim, he was born in Paris to his Malian parents who migrated to France from Mali in 1980. They all lived in a very small apartment, unfortunately kanté's father died when kanté was at the age of  11. His elder sibling died of heart attack before the 2018 world cup. He's named after king  Ngolo Diarra of the Bamana Empire. At the age of 21 kanté earned a diploma in vocational Accounting. He goes to training on a kick scooter and as of 2018 drove mini hatched, he didn't feel embarrassed about that because he found it very easy to drive. Kanté is aware of his public perception as a shy and private person. 

Asides football, he enjoys playing tennis. His favorite dish is thieboudienne because of his mother's cooking.
