In 1992, Cole joined Bristol city on a 1-year loan deal, he was trying to find a team that fit his style of play and will give him enough playing time as well.

As the season came to an end, he looked at how far he has gone in Bristol and decided to extend his contract.

The following year he made 29 Appearances and scored 12 goals, making him one of the highest goal scorer in Bristol city at that time.

NEWCASTLE

Andy Cole got an interesting offer from Division One Leaders Newcastle united in 1993.

He didn't think twice before jumping on the offer. He joined them on a 3-year Loan.

In an interview, Cole said playing for Newcastle is one of the best memories he had as a Football player. He scored 55 goals from 70 Appearances in Newcastle.

In his first season at the club, with the help of his new strike partner Peter Beardsley, Cole was able to score 34 goals in 40 games making himself the highest goal scorer of the competition.

With his help as well as his teammates, Newcastle were promoted to the English Premier League. 

The following season Cole broke the club's goal scoring record which was set by Hughie Gallacher which was nearly 70 years earlier.

Cole surpassed Hughie's record with 5 goals extra.

MANCHESTER UNITED

On the 10th of January, 1995 Cole joined Manchester United popularly known as the Red Devils. 

In as much as Andy Cole didn't want to leave, it was a mouth watering offer. Most fans and supporter of Newcastle united were sad that Cole would no long be their player.
Immediately he joined Manchester United he changed his name from Andrew to Andy.

His stay at Manchester United wasn't as easy as we all saw it to be, he was in competition with Eric Cantona and Andrei Kanchelskis

There was no way Cole would bench Cantona and Andrei on a normal day, not until Cantona retired before Cole began to get enough playing time back.

Fans criticized him for only score 14 goals in his first season at Manchester United after he missed more chances than he scored.

His goal contributed to the game against Middlesbrough which earned them the premier league.

Cole has scored against notably clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and the likes.

Cole has scored 93 goals in 195 appearances and has be tagged as a club legend.

BLACKBURN ROVERS

When Andy Cole contract expired in 2001, he decided to explore and accepted offer from Blackburn Rovers. 

He agreed to join them on a 3-year loan for an agreed price of £8 Million. Just two months upon his arrival, he had already won for himself a League Cup medal.

Since he stat at Blackburn Rovers, Cole had already won all 4 domestic trophies together with an European trophy with seven seasons.

FULHAM

When his contract had ended, Cole decided to return to his former club (Fulham).

In 2004 Cole agree and signed the necessary documents, he was announced as a player of Fulham after he agreed to stay there on a 1-year loan.

He made 31 appearances and scored 12 goals in the process. He was the club highest goal scorer.

The main reason why Cole left was because his family wanted him to return back to the North West.

MANCHESTER CITY

In 2005, Andy Cole was already regarded as Manchester United legend. He then joined a rivalry team (Manchester city) on a free transfer.

He wasn't engaging in enough matches and during his stay, he only made 22 appearances and scored 9 goals.

And Cole played for notable teams like Portsmouth, Birmingham City, Sunderland, Burnley, and Nottingham Forest.

Due to old age and injury, Cole decided to end his 19-years running Football career.

Fast forward to 2014, Cole was diagnosed of kidney failure after he developed focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.

His nephew Alexander acted as a donor as he underwent a kidney transplant in April 2017.
